Make sure to stay up to date with your countries rules and regulations on Escooters being used on public roads and paths.

United Kingdom:

  • In the UK, electric scooters are classified as Personal Light Electric Vehicles (PLEVs).
  • The use of privately-owned e-scooters on public roads or pavements is illegal. They can only be used on private land with the landowner's permission.

European Union:

  • Regulations on electric scooters vary across EU member states, and some countries have legalized e-scooters for use on public roads, while others have not.
  • In countries where e-scooters are legal, they are typically subject to similar regulations as bicycles, including speed limits, age restrictions, and requirements for lights and reflectors.
  • However, the specific rules and regulations can differ significantly between countries, so it's essential to check the local laws before riding an e-scooter in any European country.
